Focus is on the events that led to the defeat of the Japanese Empire in WW2. 


Events include the war with China (1931-45), war with the Allies (1941-45) and events in Japan and East Asia in the Post-War period (1945-1952).

Eye on the Prize Book Group meets the 2nd Monday of the month (February through April, summer break, then September through November) at 7 pm to discuss the previous year’s winners of six literary prizes.  

Discussion and readings center on American events, leaders, economic and geographic conditions in America from1609 to 1865. Discussions are framed with a broad 21st Century multicultural perspective.

Read a new STEAM themed book each month, then get together to experiment! Practice collaboration and communication skills as you work on fun challenges. Book selections will be both fiction and non-fiction. For kids in 1st and 2nd grade.

Join a book discussion group that concentrates on the works of the Bard.

Teens, tweens and their parents are invited to a monthly graphic novel discussion. Each month will feature a different 
diverse graphic novel to discuss together. Please visit the kids’ section to pick up a copy of the current book.

Discuss graphic novels and analyze the comic book format, then engage in cool Maker projects! For kids in grades 3, 4 & 5.

Join us for the Mt Lebanon Public Library Cozy Mystery Club book discussion! We will spend the first half of our meeting talking about cozy and cozy-adjacent things we've read and watched recently.

This book group is open is always open to new members. The group discusses thoughtful works of non-fiction and fiction. Attendees are invited to bring a snack or brown bag lunch during the spring session that ends in May.

Memories & Memoirs Book Club will cover a diverse range of subjects in the world of non-fiction. Mostly memoirs, these books focus on personal identity and self-discovery, and the authors explore themes of social justice and resilience.

Discuss graphic novels and analyze the comic book format, then engage in cool Maker projects! For kids in grades 3, 4 & 5.
