Many of the events of World War II are well known. D-Day is one of the best examples. But how did the military planners get the weather information on which to base an invasion date? The bombing of Hiroshima is another top example. But what if Hitler had gotten the bomb first? That was a supreme concern that led to the sabotage of a hydroelectric plant in Norway. Russia could have been defeated by Germany for lack of materiel. Convoys braving an arctic supply route solved that problem. But what if those convoys had failed? The answers to those questions, plus more gripping information, will be presented in this four class course about a too often overlooked area of an all encompassing world war.
