Tattoos and Tattooing

Join us for an evening discussing the art and culture of tattooing. From the history of the art form, to current day shops and trends, Shannon Daley, a local tattooist with over 20 years experience will present on this fascinating artform. 

Pittsburgh based tattoo artist of 23 plus years and a graduate of Syracuse University, Shannon is versed in many styles of tattooing.  She excels in particular with flora, fauna, and black and gray portraiture. Shannon has traveled the world and tattooed at conventions all over the East Coast. Currently working at a private studio in the Allentown area of Pittsburgh and doing a guest spot in Bryson City, North Carolina, she has worked at the busiest of street shops and owned a tattoo shop. She has years of experience, knowledge, and stories to share.

Part one of two! Part one (4/7) will deal more with the origins of tattooing, and part two (4/14) will be about more contemporary issues in the filed. Feel free to join us for both, or either session!
