DESCRIPTION:MLPL welcomes back our friends from the Pittsburgh Poetry Soci
 ety for a reading. This time around we hear fromJudy Yogman, Karen Howard,
  Fred Peterson, and Annie Black. Judy Yogman is a retired ESL instructor 
 and enthusiastic poet with publication in the Pittsburgh Poetry Society&#0
 39;s The Potter&#039;s Wheel over the last few issues. Other publication i
 ncludes poems in Along These Rivers, Crossing Limits: African Americans an
 d American Jews; Out of the Rough: Women&#039;s Poems of Survival and Cele
 bration; and Written on Water: Writings about the Allegheny River, plus po
 ems in several other anthologies from a 40-year span which were lost in th
 e most recent move. She is a member of The Pittsburgh Poetry Society. Fre
 d has been a member of Pittsburgh Poetry Society for over thirty years and
  has served in various capacities including President. He is originally fr
 om Arkansas where he began teaching in the early 1960s after which he move
 d to the St. Louis area for several years and then moved on to the Pittsbu
 rgh area where and his husband of 50+ years live comfortably with their fe
 line companion - Archie.Annie Black has written poetry from time to time s
 ince childhood. She loves W.H. Auden, William Yeats, Sara Teasdale, and An
 drea Gibson. Her favorite excerpt from a poem is from Auden&#039;s classic
  &quot;September 1, 1939&quot;:May I, composed like them Of Eros and of d
 ust, Beleaguered by the same Negation and despair, Show an affirming fl
 ame.
