 y and starring James Dean, premiered in 1955.  Both the novel and the fil
 m address societal issues as troubled teens negotiate their way into an un
 familiar world.Join Connie Booth and Elaine Wertheim for a two week explor
 ation of the novel and the film.Connie Booth is a retired English teacher,
  who specializes in American literature.Elaine Wertheim teaches art histor
