Story of three men of the 116th Infantry Regiment: known as the “Stonewallers” after General Thomas Jackson who gained fame in the Civil War as “Old Stonewall” who was the original leader of the antecedents of this Regiment. The 116th was the assault regiment at Omaha Beach for the 29th Division known as the Blue/Grey division. The 29th was a National Guard Division from Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.
