There's no school today! Join us to celebrate Earth Day and have fun at STEM stations throughout the library. Try your hand at filtering water, guess and test which items are biodegradable, learn about fast fashion and how to upcycle, and more!
For ages 4 and up. STEM Stations are drop-in from 1:30-3:30pm. No Registration
You can also register online for one of the amazing programs presented by The Allegheny Land Trust for preschoolers, elementary aged kids, and adults.
Forest Friends – Ages 3-6, 12:30pm
Why are trees important? What can trees tell us about weather conditions? In this hands-on, exploration-based workshop, students will discover just how amazing a tree can be!
Needs of Seeds- Grades K-2, 1:30pm
What are seeds and what do they need? Students will explore the growth and movement of seeds from native plants and explore how seeds travel by land, air and sea!
Better for Bees – Grades 3-5, 2:30pm
Why are bees so important to human beings and the environment? Learn how to protect and conserve the natural world by participating in hands-on ways to help local bee populations.
Utilizing Native Plants in Your Landscape - Adults, 4pm
This program explores the benefits to utilizing native plants in your landscape. Learn what native plants attract butterflies, bees, birds and other native wildlife.
