Local author and retired Social Studies teacher Mark Macedonia joins us at the library to discuss his historical fiction novels and the historical events that are featured in each. In addition, he will discuss the creative writing and publishing process, and entertain any questions from patrons.

Silhouettes of the Dark is author Mark Macedonia’s fourth novel. He published his first novel, The Soles of Cyrus Eblis in February 2019, and has followed it with Beneath A Crescent Moon in March 2023, and Beware The Shifting Sands in March 2024. At present, he is busy crafting a sequel to Silhouettes of the Dark with the working title of Shadows in the Dragon’s Lair.

A native of Western Pennsylvania, Macedonia is a former high school Social Studies teacher, who taught AP World History and United States History in the Seneca Valley School District.

Macedonia holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication from St. Bonaventure University, as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He resides north of Pittsburgh with his wife Sandy, and their English retriever, Kimba.
