About Warrior Canine Connection
Warrior Canine Connection is a national non-profit that enlists recovering Warriors in a therapeutic mission of learning to train service dogs for their fellow Veterans in need. WCC Golden and Labrador Retriever service dogs complete approximately two years of training to help Veterans with mobility loss, hearing or vision loss, traumatic brain injury, PTSD, anxiety, or depression. For a sneak peek at the organization’s future service dogs, visit Warrior Canine Connection’s 24-hour Puppy Cam.
Since its founding in 2011, WCC has supported the recovery and rehabilitation of 10,000 wounded Veterans around the country and placed 165 assistance dogs with wounded Veterans and Military Families. All of WCC’s programs and services—to include placement of its highly-skilled service dogs—are provided at no cost to Veterans and Military Families. To read about some of the thousands of Veterans helped by WCC, you can watch some of our Warrior Stories here.
With 15 programming sites nationwide, WCC most recently launched a programming site on the campus of Duquesne University. Want to get involved? We are looking for volunteer Puppy Raisers to be a hero for a hero by helping to raise a service dog for 4 to 18 months before the dog graduates and is placed with a forever Veteran.
