Join us for a charming evening with author Erin Frankel as she presents her newest picture book Mary Oliver, Holding On to Wonder.
Ms. Frankel will share her own childhood writing influences with a specific emphasis on poetry and how she became interested in Mary Oliver. The evening will include a reading of Holding on to Wonder, a slideshow presentation and audio clips of Mary Oliver reading poetry, a Q&A session and a hands-on poetry workshop inspired by Oliver’s own approach.
The workshop will encourage participants to begin capturing ideas, thoughts, and feelings—just as Oliver did in her notebooks—that can later grow into poems.
For kids ages 7+ and family.
City Books will be present to sell Holding on to Wonder and other Erin Frankel books, as well as select Mary Oliver poetry books.
