All bus trips are subsidized by Friends of Mt. Lebanon Public Library.
Join us for an offsite visit to the Carnegie Museum of Art in Oakland including a curator-led tour of the museum and a chance to admire the annual Carnegie Trees.
Tickets go on sale to the public on Monday, November 4th. Tickets are $32 and include bus transportation to and from the museum, a group tour of the museum, and a boxed lunch of your choice.
Registration takes place IN-PERSON. Tickets can be purchased with cash, card, or check at the Circulation desk. After purchasing your ticket, please view the lunch menu and select your boxed lunch. YOUR RECEIPT IS YOUR TICKET.
SCHEDULE:
- Bus loading starts at 9:30am in front of the downstairs entrance on Castle Shannon Blvd.
- Bus departs for CMOA at 9:45am
- Group tour starts at 11:10am
- Boxed lunch after tour (approx. 12:30pm)
- Free time to explore the holiday trees and exhibits after lunch
- Bus departs for Library at 3:30pm
The museums are accessible for visitors with disabilities. All areas of the building may be accessed via ramps and elevators, and wheelchairs are available free of charge.
MUSEUM RULES
For your own safety and comfort as well as that of other guests, and to ensure that our collections may continue to delight and inspire visitors for years to come, we ask that you be aware of the following rules and policies.
- Visitors must adhere to all public health and safety guidelines in place at the time of their visit.
- Touching of exhibits or artwork is not permitted, unless designated as touchable.
- Leave backpacks, bags, and large purses on the van/bus whenever possible, as they are not permitted in the galleries.
- There is a self-service coat room with coin-operated lockers ($0.50). This area is unmonitored, so the museum will not accept responsibility for lost or stolen items.
- Pencils are the only writing utensils permitted for use in the galleries.
- Food and drinks are not allowed in the galleries.
Photography
- Feel free to take photos for personal use; no auxiliary equipment, please.
- Handheld video cameras are permitted only in Carnegie Museum of Natural History.
- Some areas may have restrictions.
