AARP Smart Driver Course

This eight-hour driver safety course will be offered at Mt. Lebanon Library over a two-day period on Monday Sept 23 and Tuesday Sept 24 from 9:30am to 1:30pm each day.  The cost is $25.00 per person or $20.00 with an AARP membership (must present card) payable at the first class. Advance registration is required as space is limited.  

In the driver safety course, you'll learn current rules of the road, defensive driving techniques, and how to operate your vehicle more safely in today's increasingly challenging driving environment. You'll also learn how to manage and accommodate for common age-related changes in vision, hearing, and reaction time.

No written or practical driving tests are required.  The course is open to any licensed driver, but upon completion, participants who are 50 and older may be eligible for multi-year automobile insurance discounts. (Please check with your insurance carrier.) If you’ve previously taken this course, re-taking it can qualify as your refresher course.
